Verify the port congestion to each terminal levels
The 'geo-fences' (digital virtual boundaries) in ports and terminals around the world allow you to see, berth by berth, where the vessel is currently anchored and its name. It also shows at a glance where the vessel is waiting for a berth at anchor or offshore.
You can configure each alerts up to the which vessel, voyage, port and event to make sure that get the required notification on point as per your needs.
We use it to check the ship's course (via the Suez Canal or the Cape of Good Hope) in the wake of the recent confusion in the Red Sea, and to watch the Panama Canal passage status, to get an accurate picture of the ship's movements.
Some shipping companies were slow in updating information on their websites, and we had trouble understanding whether we had arrived at or left a port. It's great to know instantly what's going on in and out of port.
Sometimes you get to your destination port and you're not in the terminal. It would be very helpful to know where the ship is, along with the actual point name.
